President Jokowi Applauds Indonesia’s Young Generation in 5G Mining Industry

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo expressed his satisfaction watching Indonesia’s young generation become experts in operating 5G technology mining equipment in Mimika, Papua.

“The use of 5G mining technology is safer for the workers. I am delighted since the operators are all Indonesians; many of them are Papuans,” he said when inspecting 5G technology heavy equipment operator station at OB 04, Mimika regency, Thursday (09/01).

Furthermore, he said that the use of 5G mining technology is expected to increase efficiency and productivity in mining sector.

“This is the first 5G underground mining in Southeast Asia,” he remarked. (FID/UN) (RAS/LW)
