President Jokowi Appreciates KPU’s Performances in National Votes Recapitulation

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Thursday (03/21) expressed appreciation to the General Election Commission (KPU) and the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) for the completion of the recapitulation of votes for the general election this year.

“We should be grateful the KPU has completed the process of recapitulating votes last night. I really honor and appreciate the processes and the hard work made by the KPU and Bawaslu. They really deserve our appreciation since everything runs in smooth and timely manner,” the President told the journalists after inspecting Sultan Syarif Mohamad Alkadrie regional general hospital at Pontianak city, West Kalimantan province.

Previously, the KPU had completed the vote recapitulation for the general election which was determined in the plenary meeting of the Results of National Votes Recapitulation for the 2024 General Election.

The determination is regulated in the KPU Decree Number 360 of 2024 on Determination of the Nationwide Results of the General Election of President and Vice President, Members of the House of Representatives, Regional Representative Council, Regional House of Representative at Provincial Level, and Regional House of Representative at Municipality/Regency Level in the 2024 General Election.

In accordance with the KPU Regulation Number 3 of 2022, the national vote recapitulation for the 2024 general election takes place from February 15 to March 20, 2024. (GWH/RAS/LW)
