President Jokowi Appreciates Ministries/Institutions for Handling Coronavirus

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo expressed his gratitude towards all ministers/heads of institutions for their hard work in handling the spread of coronavirus (2019-nCoV).

“I thank all ministries, including the coordinating ministries and the Ministry of Health,” President Jokowi said in his directives during a Plenary Cabinet Meeting on the Anticipation of Global Economic Impact at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java Province, Tuesday (11/2).

According to the President, we have showcased vigilance, cautiousness, and hard work to prevent the virus from entering Indonesia.

“Even though there are 62 people suspected of being infected with 2019-nCoV, they have tested negative. We should be grateful,” the President added.

He also expressed hope that medias tell only factual news that Indonesia is extremely serious in handling the problem,” the President concluded.

Also attending the Plenary Cabinet Meeting were, among others, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut B Pandjaitan, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko, Head of the Presidential Advisory Board (Wantimpres) Wiranto, and all Indonesia Onward Cabinet Ministers.
