President Jokowi Arrives in Beijing

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and First Lady Ibu Iriana Jokowi Monday (07/25) arrived at Beijing Capital International Airport, People’s Republic of China (PRC).

The GIA-1 aircraft carrying the Head of State landed at around 21:37 local time.

On the plane down steps, President Jokowi and the First Lady were welcomed by Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PRC Wu Jiang Hao, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the People’s Republic of China Djauhari Oratmangun and his spouse, and Defense Attaché of the Republic of Indonesia in Beijing Marsma Bayu Hendra Permana and his spouse.

Afterward, President Jokowi and the First Lady headed to Diaoyutai State Guesthouse to spend the night.

Upon arrival at the State Guesthouse, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi welcomed the President and the First Lady.

President Jokowi is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Chinese President and Premier tomorrow. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/UN) (FI/MMB)
