President Jokowi Arrives in New Delhi

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Friday (09/08) arrived at Palam Air Force Station in New Delhi, Republic of India, Friday (09/08).

The Garuda Indonesia GIA-I aircraft that carried President Jokowi, Ibu Iriana Joko Widodo, and entourage landed perfectly at the airport at around 19:40 local time or 21:10 Western Indonesian Time.

Welcoming the President were Indonesian Ambassador to India Ina Krisnamurthi and Indonesian Defense Attaché in New Delhi Laksma Didik Kurniawan and spouse.

Upon the arrival, President Jokowi and Ibu Iriana were warmly welcomed with the performance of Bihu traditional dance which originated from the state of Assam, India. Afterwards, President Jokowi and the entourage proceeded to a hotel in New Delhi where he met officials and staff of the Indonesian Embassy in India as well as Indonesian diaspora.
