President Jokowi Arrives in Seoul

President Joko Jokowi Widodo and his entourage Wednesday (07/27) evening arrived in Seoul, Republic of Korea

The GIA-1 aircraft carrying the Head of State landed at Seoul Air Base Seongnam around 20:17 local time from Tokyo.

Upon his arrival, the President were welcomed by Republic of Korea’s Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Hyundong, Indonesian Ambassador for Republic of Korea Gandi Sulistiyanto and spouse, Defense Attaché Col. Aviation Akal Juang Embryono Teesna Putra and spouse, Republic of Korea Ambassador for Indonesia Park Tae-sung and Kang Sue Jeong, and Seoul Airbase Seongnam Commander Brigadier General Kim Hyun-soo.

Afterwards, President Jokowi and entourage headed to the hotel to spend the night to continue his activities the next day.

Also accompanying the President during the visit were Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno L.P. Marsudi, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir, and Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia. (BPMI Presidential Secretariat/UN) (GWH/EP)
