President Jokowi, Artists Try Out Jabodebek LRT

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Thursday (08/10) tried out Jabodebek LRT (Light Rail Transit) with several artists, taking the ride from Jati Mulya Station in Bekasi regency, West Java province.

President Jokowi arrived at the station at around 08.30 Western Indonesian time. Before getting on the LRT, the President greeted and had a brief discussion with the artists who had arrived earlier.

The artists who attended the trial run are Ari Lasso, Yuni Shara, Deddy Desta Mahendra, Nirina Zubir, Indy Barends, Cak Lontong, Prisia Nasution, Chelsea Islan, Widi Mulia, Aurelie Moeremans, Reisa Broto Asmoro, Lukman Sardi, Sari Nila, Nazyra C. Noer, and Wishnutama Kusubandio.

Along the way toward the last stop Dukuh Atas Station in Jakarta, the President had a casual conversation with the artists.

Joining the President on that occasion were Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir and Acting Governor of Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono. (AIT/UN) (SI/DH)
