President Jokowi Attends Bilateral Meeting in UAE

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo arrived at Abu Dhabi International Airport, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday (12/01) at 13.10 Local Time or approximately 16.10 Western Indonesian Time.

The President was greeted by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Arab Emirates Husin Bagis, Minister of Energy and Industry of UAE Suhail Mohamed Faraj Al Mazrouei, and the Indonesian Defense Attaché of Riyadh Brigadier General Erlangga Said Karim.

From the Airport, President Jokowi and his entourage immediately traveled for approximately 38 minutes to the Emirates Palace Hotel, Abu Dhabi, and were welcomed by Indonesian Cabinet Ministers.

On the first day of the visit to Abu Dhabi, President Jokowi is scheduled to hold a series of bilateral meetings, witness the signing of the agreement, and attend a state dinner at Qasr Al Watan Presidential Palace.

Accompanying the President during the state visit were, among others, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut B Pandjaitan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Religious Affairs Fachrul Razi, Minister of Trade Agus Suparmanto, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir , Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia, Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) Suhardi Alius, and Special Staff to the President Ari Dwipayana.
