President Jokowi Attends G20 Leaders’ Summit Virtually

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo attended the 15th G20 Leaders’ Summit virtually via video conference from the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java.

The Summit is held in Riyadh City, Saudi Arabia, on 21-22 November 2020.

During the Summit, the G20 leaders will discuss efforts to stimulate global recovery due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

President Jokowi is scheduled to join the opening ceremony of the Summit as well as attend a session on overcoming the pandemic, economic recovery, and restoring jobs.

The session will specifically discuss efforts to contain the pandemic in the health sector, recover the global economy, including restoring the labor market, social protection, and the global financial system.

In addition, the leaders are also scheduled to talk over the development of agreements made at the previous summit, including the Debt Service Suspension Initiative (DSSI) for low-income countries and strengthening the multilateral trading system. (BPMI/UN) (FI/MMB)
