President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Tuesday (08/22) attended the luncheon hosted by President of Tanzania Samia Suluhu Hassan at Dar Es Salaam State House in Tanzania.

President Jokowi went on to say that the working visit in Tanzania is like visiting a close friend, while underscoring that Indonesia and Tanzania have similar identities.

“Indonesia has Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity), while Tanzania has Uhuru na Umoja (Freedom and Unity),” the President added.

According to the Head of State, the philosophy is a vital asset for strengthening partnership between Indonesia and Tanzania.

On that occasion, President Jokowi also enjoyed various dishes, including carrot and pea soup, chicken tikka, fish satay, grilled squid, and fresh fruits. The two Presidents then sent prayers for the health and prosperity of the people of both countries.
