President Jokowi Attends Masyayikh Majemuk Haul

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, accompanied by First Lady Ibu Iriana, on Saturday, 3 February 2018, departed for East Java Province to attend the Dhikr and Prayer for the Nation in the Commemoration of Masyayikh Majemuk Haul (Ulema Association) at the Salafiyah Safi’iyah Islamic Boarding School, Sukorejo.

After inaugurating the revamped Open and Closed Tennis Court in the Gelora Bung Karno area, Jakarta, President Jokowi went straight to the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base. The President and his entourage took off at around 11:10 am Western Indonesian Time by using the Presidential Aircraft Indonesia-1.

Arriving at the Juanda International Airport, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java Province, at 12:20 pm Western Indonesian Time, the President and Ibu Iriana along with the entourage went to Situbondo Regency, East Java Province, using Air Force’s Helicopter Super Puma.

Arriving in Situbondo Regency at 1 pm, the President and First Lady Ibu Iriana headed for the event that took place at the Salafiyah Safi’iyah Islamic Boarding School, Sukorejo, Sumberejo Village, Banyuputih Subdistrict.

In the afternoon, the President and First Lady Ibu Iriana and the entourage were scheduled to leave for Jakarta.

Accompanying the President and First Lady Ibu Iriana on the flight to East Java Province were Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning Sofyan Djalil, Special Staff to the President Diaz Hendropriyono, Military Secretary of the President Young Marshall of the Indonesian National Defence Forces (TNI) Trisno Hendradi, Commander of the President’s Security Details (Paspampres) Major General of TNI (Mar) Suhartono and General Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP) Romahurmuziy.
