President Jokowi Attends National Press Day
The President and his entourage took off to Ambon from Halim Perdanakusuma Airforce Base, Jakarta, on Wednesday (8/2) at 9 a.m. Western Indonesian Time.
One day before, on Tuesday afternoon, the President as well as a number of Ministers, the Commander of Indonesian National Defence Forces (TNI), and Chief of Indonesian National Police (Polri), took part in a futsal match versus the journalists who usually cover the news of the President. The match, that held in Kelapa Gading, Jakarta, was part of National Press Days supporting events.
I want the Government: the Ministers, the Commander of TNI, the Chief of Polri, and I, to establish cooperation and friendship with the media, the President said prior to the match.
Besides attending the 2017 National Press Day, the President is also scheduled to carry out a number of agenda, such as to deliver Extra Nutrition Program for Children (PMT), Aspiring Family Program (PKH), as well as Healthy Indonesia Card (KIS), in Teluk Ambon Subdistrict, and Smart Indonesia Card (KIP) in apublic junior high school in Ambon.
Also accompanying the President and Ibu Iriana to Ambon were Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Health Nila Moeloek, and Minister of Tourism Arief Yahya. (AGG/UN)(MMB/YM/Naster)
