President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo attended the World Economic Forum (WEF) Special Virtual on Indonesia under the theme “Indonesia’s Priority on Health and Economic Recovery” via video conference from the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, Wednesday (25/11).

Quoting statement of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mahendra Siregar, this forum is part of a series of Country Strategy Dialogue from the WEF which brings together the government of a country with global business players and other stakeholders in a strategic dialog session. The forum will discuss issues that are currently developing in the host country, in the region, and globally focusing on economic development of the host country as the main point.

In line with the theme of the event, President Jokowi will talk about efforts to restore Indonesia’s health and economy.

The forum will be divided into two sessions, namely a special session with the President of the Republic of Indonesia and a panel discussion session with the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Minister of State-Owned Enterprises. In both sessions, top global company leaders will have the opportunity to have an interactive dialog with the President of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministers.

As many as 43 global companies will join the forum. These companies are engaged in the financial sector, infrastructure, strategic industry, pharmaceuticals, health services, Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and digital, manufacturing, downstream mineral production, and green and renewable energy.
