President Jokowi Begins N. Sumatra Working Visit

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Wednesday (02/02) left for North Sumatra province from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang city, for a working visit.

During the working visit, the President is slated to inspect and inaugurate Balige bypass road in Toba regency. Afterwards, he is scheduled to distribute direct cash assistance to traders at Porsea market in Toba regency.

After the distribution, President Jokowi is also scheduled to inspect and inaugurate the improvement of Bebas Parapat beach and Parapat Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL) at Bebas Parapat beach in Simalungun regency.

In addition, the President will also visit Ajibata port of Toba regency to inaugurate the port along with six other ports and four passenger motor boats (KMP) before leaving for Samosir regency by ferry.

In Samosir regency, the Head of State is scheduled to inaugurate the improvement of traditional village of Huta Siallagan and distribute direct cash assistance for souvenir traders. He is also slated to inspect the improvement of another traditional village of Huta Raja and inaugurate Ulos Huta Raja village in Pangururan district.

Also joining the President during the visit were Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/UN) (GWH/EP)
