President Jokowi Begins Work Visit in Riau, Riau Islands Province

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Tuesday (28/09) headed to Riau province for a work visit. With a limited entourage, the President took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Military Airbase in Jakarta onboard Indonesian Presidential Aircraft-1 around 07.30 western Indonesian time.

Shortly after the President arrives at Roesmin Nurjadin Military Airbase in Pekanbaru city, he will continue his trip on the Indonesian National Defense Forces’ Super Puma helicopter to go to Bengkalis regency.

In Bengkalis regency, the President is scheduled to plant mangroves with the people and inspect abrasion-affected locations at Raja Kecik Beach.

Afterwards, the President will head back to Roesmin Nurjadin Military Airbase on the helicopter and take off to Riau Islands province.

As soon as the President arrives at Hang Nadim International Airport in Batam city, he will visit Setokok urban village in Bulang sub-district to plant mangroves once again with the people.

In the evening, the President and his entourage will return to Hang Nadim International Airport to head back to Jakarta.
