President Jokowi Bestows Meritorious Service Medal to Three Police Personnel

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Thursday (01/07) bestowed Bintang Bhayangkara Nararya medal, the third class meritorious service medal, to three personnel of the Indonesian National Police for their contribution to the progress and development of the Indonesian National Police.

The medals were conferred during a ceremony to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the National Police Day on Thursday (01/07) at the State Palace, Jakarta. The three Police personnel receiving the medal are as follows:

  1. Police Grand Commissioner Ribut Hari Wibowo, Head of Division for Personnel Transfer of the Indonesian National Police;
  2. Police Commissioner Attendant Ery Murniasih, Head of Finance Subdivision of Tangerang City Police; and
  3. Brigadier Mahfud, Non-Commissioned Officer of the Mobile Brigade (Brimob) Police Corps.

The medal was awarded based on Presidential Decree Number 50/TK 2021 on the Awarding of the Bintang Bhayangkara Nararya signed by President Jokowi himself on 29 June 2021.

“The medal is a tribute to personnel of the National Police who have made great contributions with extraordinary courage, wisdom, and fortitude beyond their obligation to the progress and development of the police. They have never violated any rules during their service,” Military Secretary to the President Air-Vice Marshall M. Tony Harjono read the Presidential Decree.  (FID/UN) (RI/EP)
