President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Friday (02/10) expressed his optimism that People’s Business Credit (KUR) allocated by Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) amounting to Rp3 trillion in Aceh will strengthen the economic growth in the province.

The statement was conveyed by President Jokowi at the Hand Over of the 2023 KUR and the Launching of Digital Farmer Card at the field of state-owned fertilizer producer PT. Pupuk Iskandar Muda in North Aceh regency.

The President went on to say that BSI provided Rp14 trillion of KUR for 38 provinces throughout Indonesia.

On that occasion, President Jokowi reminded all KUR recipients to use and manage the fund properly so that the recipients can still afford to pay the loan.

“It must be managed properly and allocate the fund for monthly installment,” the President stated.

Furthermore, President Jokowi also encouraged the recipients to be more disciplined in making regular business report including expense, income, and profit so that the data will be valid and useful.

Accompanying the President during his working visit were Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of State-owned Enterprises Erick Thohir, Governor of Aceh, Mayor of Lhokseumawe, and Regent of North Aceh. (MAY/UN) (AP/HD/LW)
