President Jokowi Calls For Goal-Oriented Breakthrough
Date 29 Juli 2020
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has called participants of Joint Struggle Activity Program Year 2020 to give a different nuance, new thoughts, guidance as well as to find ways that are faster and goal-oriented.
The President acknowledged that the problem lies in the bureaucracy, which is replete with too many regulations that must be reformed.
“There are too many procedures, too many steps. Our bureaucracy is trapped by our own rules,” said the President.
According to him, this is a big work of the personnel of the National Defense Forces (TNI), the National Police, and all participants who attended the event because the future is theirs.
Even under normal conditions, the President added, work must be result-oriented, fast and efficient because in the future a fast country will win the competition, not to mention when in a difficult situation under health and economic crisis.
“In the current situation, we must dare to change from ordinary to extraordinary, both in terms of speed and the ways we work,” he added.
Therefore, the President urged the participants to oversee several urgent and important agendas for the country and to change from complicated regulations to easy and fast.
“Once again, if we can adopt these methods, I believe we will be able to get through a difficult time like today, “he said. (TGH/EN)
