President Jokowi Calls for Maintaining Conducive Situation amid Global Challenges

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo attended the 50th Anniversary of United Development Party (PPP) and Inauguration of the 2023 National Workshop of PPP Fraction Members of the Regional House of Representatives at Sriwijaya Hall Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang regency, Banten province, Friday (17/02).

In his remarks, President Jokowi encouraged all parties to maintain conducive situation in the country amid unpredictable global challenges, furthermore, ahead of the political year in 2024.

“I ask all of us to keep maintaining political and security stabilities to address unpredictable global challenges. Stability is important as we are facing the risks of global crisis, whose effects are hard to predict and calculate”, the President said.

He further explained that amid global challenges, Indonesia should be grateful because the 2022 national economy grew positively by 5.31 percent, better than that of economic growth in some developed countries.

Therefore, the President urged to maintain this good economic situation and it should be undisturbed by the general elections next year.

“I remind all of us to maintain conducive security and political stabilities in order to keep economic growth undisturbed, so people’s life is not disturbed by our 2024 political events”, the President remarked. (BPMI SETPRES/AIT)
