Following the announcement of the Constitutional Court regarding the final ruling on Presidential Election result dispute case, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has called on Indonesians to unite. .

“Now that the presidential election has come to an end, let us unite again as brothers and sisters of the same country. Regardless of our ethnicities and religions, we are all brothers and sisters after all,” President Jokowi said during remarks on the distribution of 2,000 land certificates in Manado, North Sulawesi, Thursday (4/7).

Different political preferences, the President added, should not cause hatred and envy, adding that Indonesian people are all brothers and sisters who will join hands to surmount big challenges.

“If we do not unite and join hands to build this country, we will be left behind by other countries,” President Jokowi said.

The President went on to say that other countries have moved far to build their infrastructures, while Indonesia is still dealing with hatred towards each other over political choices.

“I invite all of you to build and advance this country together,” he said. (HIM / JAY / ES)
