President Jokowi Channels Working Capital Assistance in Labuan Bajo
As part of his working visit in East Nusa Tenggara province on Thursday (1/10), President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo disbursed working capital assistance for micro and small enterprises in Labuan Bajo tourist destination in East Nusa Tenggara province to 60 business actors amounting Rp2.4 million each.
On that occasion, President Jokowi called on the business actors to keep up the working spirit and never give up under the current difficult times.
“Do not let the spirit be dampened. This condition should make your spirit lifted up instead, so later when the situation returns to normal, you are ready to restart your business like before,” said the President.
The President also explained that the current situation has also affected other people in 215 countries worldwide and to all levels of entrepreneurs. Therefore, he invited business actors to survive and work harder.
“We should be grateful for no matter how much the profit is. Do not let the business close because once it is closed, it will take time to restart the business,” President Jokowi said.
He went on to say that once the COVID-19 vaccine is widely available and the situation returns to normal, then the economy will rebound.
“Tourism will revive, hotels will be fully occupied and your customers will revisit your store as many as the previous days or even better,” President Jokowi said.
In addition, he also reminded the recipients to spend the assistance only for working capital and not to spend it for consumptive things. (BPMI/UN)
