President Jokowi Concludes Working Visits to Three ASEAN Countries

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo arrived at Halim Perdanakusuma Indonesian Air Force Base, Jakarta, on Sunday (01/14), after completing working visits to three ASEAN countries.

The President and his entourage took off from Brunei Airport, Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam, at around 13.00 local time or 12.00 Western Indonesia Time.

For the record, President Jokowi started his working visits by visiting the Philippines. President Jokowi attended a bilateral meeting with the President of the Philippines Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. and received a courtesy call from Minister of Transportation and Minister of Defense of the Philippines.

After visiting the Philippines, the President and his entourage visited Vietnam. In Hanoi, President Jokowi attended official ceremonies and held meetings with Vietnamese leaders.

“I was very impressed by the warm welcome I received during all activities and ceremonies in Vietnam, including a state banquet hosted by President Thuong. It reflected close relations between the two countries and a very promising future of our cooperation,” President Jokowi said at Melia Hotel, Hanoi, Saturday (01/13).

President Jokowi ended his working visits by visiting Brunei Darussalam. In Bandar Seri Begawan, President Jokowi met with a number of Brunei Darussalam entrepreneurs and attended the wedding of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah’s son, Prince Abdul Mateen. (BPMI SETPRES/AIT) (RI/MMB)
