President Jokowi Condemns Las Vegas Mass Shooting

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo condemned the mass shooting in Las Vegas, US, on Sunday night (1/10) that claimed 59 killed lives and wounded 500.

The shooting happened during a country music festival in the city.

“We condemn such an act of terror that left so many people dead and wounded,” said President Jokowi said to reporters in Cibubur, East Jakarta, on Tuesday (2/10).

“We would like to extend our deepest condolences,” the President said.

“I believe the government of the US is strong in the face of such a terror act” President Jokowi added.

In the meantime, as of Tuesday Indonesian Ministry of Foreign affairs reported that no Indonesians were reported among the casualties. It also said that the Indonesian Consulate General in Los Angeles has continued to coordinate with Indonesians living in the US as well as local hospitals.
