President Jokowi Confident Synergy Between Polri, TNI, BIN Can Secure Eid Day

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo expressed his confidence that synergy between the Indonesian National Police (Polri), Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI), and National Intelligence Agency (BIN) will be able to prevent any potential security and order disturbance during Ramadan and ahead of this year’s Eid Day.

“Thus, the people can perform prayer in quiet, safe, and comfortable manners,” President Jokowi said in his remarks at a Limited Meeting on the Preparation ahead of Eid Day 2018, at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, on Wednesday (30/5).

For that reason, the President has asked for a report on the prevention in maintaining the stability ahead of and during this year’s Eid Day from the Indonesian National Police Chief Gen. Tito Karnavian.

Previously on that Limited Meeting, the President also conveyed his wish that infrastructures of mudik (annual exodus ahead of Eid Al-Fitr) route, modes of transport to be ready, and fuel stocks are sufficient during Ramadan and ahead of this year’s Eid Day.

“Last but not least is the availability and stability of the price of basic commodities needed by the people,” President Jokowi firmly said.

Sumadi, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Ignasius Jonan, Minister of Health Nila F.
