President Jokowi Congratulates Newly-inaugurated US President Joe Biden

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo congratulated Joe Biden and Kamala Harris following their inauguration as the President and Vice President of the United States.

“Congratulations @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris on your inauguration as the 46th President and 49th Vice President of the United States,” President Jokowi tweeted through his Twitter account @jokowi today (21/1).

President Jokowi also expressed optimism that Indonesia-US strategic partnership will continue to be strengthened.

“Let us continue to strengthen our strategic partnership, not only for the benefit of our two nations, but for a better world for all,” he tweeted.

For the record, the inauguration ceremony of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris took place at Capitol Hill, Washington DC, Wednesday (20/1) local time or Thursday (21/1) midnight Western Indonesian Time.
