President Jokowi Crosses River to Greet Locals in Cilacap

Taking time out of his schedule, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo crossed a river by boat to greet in-person  the residents of Tritih Lor village, Jeruklegi district, Cilacap regency, Central Java province, on Thursday (23/09), where President Jokowi was set to plant mangrove trees with the residents.

President Jokowi got in the boat with three fishermen and only accompanied by the Commander of Group A Presidential Security Detail (Paspampres) Anan Nurakhman.

After planting mangrove trees, the President was set to inspect vaccination program for students at state senior high school SMA Negeri 2, Cilacap. During this occasion, he also greeted vaccination participants at some schools through video conference.

The President was also scheduled to inspect door-to-door vaccination held at Sentolo Kawat fishermen village, South Cilacap district.

Before heading back to Jakarta, the President together with the local people released baby turtles at Kemiren Beach, South Cilacap district.

Afterwards, President Jokowi and his entourage  returned to Jakarta through Tunggul Wulung Airport, Cilacap regency. (Photo: Bureau of Press, Media, and Information of Presidential Secretariat) (AW/MMB)
