President Jokowi Delivers the Important Roles of Indonesia and ASEAN in Belt and Road Initiative

President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo emphasized the importance of policy synergy to establish a more enhance cooperation and more connected development.

This statement was delivered by President Jokowi in two sessions of Leaders Roundtable on Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in CNCC, Yangqi Lake International Conference Center (ICC), Beijing, PRC, Monday (15/5).

Before joining session I of Leaders Roundtable, the President was welcomed by the President of PRC Xi Jinping. On session I, the President had a conversation with the President of Argentina Mauricio Maori and the President of Chile Michelle Bachelet.<>

After the session ended, all Heads of State/Government walk  to the side of a lake to take a group photo. On this photo session, President Jokowi stood between the President of PRC Xi Jinping and the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Goes to Palu

After spending three days in Beijing, the President and First Lady Ibu Iriana Joko Widodo, on Monday (15/5) afternoon continued their trip to Mutiara SIS Aljufri Airport, Palu City, Central Sulawesi Province.

In this city, the President is going to attend the Opening of Congress XIX Indonesia Islamic Students Movement (PMII). After the opening, the President as well as Ibu Iriana will head back to Jakarta. (DNS/ES) (MMB/YM/Naster)
