President Jokowi Distributes Fuel Cash Assistance in Maluku Province

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Friday (09/02) handed over fuel direct cash assistance to beneficiary families in Saumlaki, Tanimbar Islands regency, Maluku province.

“We just distributed fuel direct cash assistance worth Rp600 thousand in total for four months and we have given the assistance for two months,” the President said.

On that occasion, the President expressed hope that the assistance can maintain people’s purchasing power amid the current surge in global commodity prices.

“We hope through this assistance, people’s purchasing power can be well maintained,” he said.

The President also underscored that the Government has not yet decided on the change in fuel prices.

“Regarding the fuel prices, everything is still being calculated. Today, I will be reported regarding the calculations,” the President said. (FID/UN) (RIF/MUR)
