President Jokowi: Dont Trust Fake News, Hoaxes on Social Media

President Joko Jokowi Widodo reminded the public to confirm the validity of a variety of information circulating, particularly those on social media which contain fake news and hoaxes, let alone in the current political year.
“Do not get easily trust fake news and hoaxes,” the President told the audience in his remarks at the handover of 7,000 land certificates in Bogor Regency and Municipality and surrounding areas, at the Pakansari Stadium Bogor, West Java, Tuesday (25/9).
According to the President, fake news and hoaxes circulated through social media were not values ??that we embrace. “The noble values the Indonesian people embrace are politeness, hospitality, and gentleness. That is why we are known as a friendly nation,” the President said.
Earlier, the President reminded the people in attendance that they always maintain harmony and unity, given it is the most valuable asset of this nation.
“This is what we must safeguard because our nation’s greatest asset is unity. “Don’t let the elections of regent, governor, mayor, president and vice president make us divided,” the President firmly said.
The President affirmed that we are all brothers and sisters. Therefore, ukhuwah islamiyah (brotherhood) and ukhuwah wathaniyah (nationalism) must be maintained.
