President Jokowi Encourages Increased Cooperation between Indonesia, European Union

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Saturday (12/11) held a meeting with President of the European Council Charles Michel on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit at the Sokha Hotel, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

On that occasion, the President invited the European Union to constantly enhance cooperation with Indonesia and ASEAN.

“The world condition is not improving. We have to face multidimensional crises, including food crisis, energy crisis, and inflation. There is only one option to deal with these challenges, namely cooperation,” the President said.

In the meantime, President of the European Council congratulated and expressed appreciation for Indonesia’s G20 Presidency amidst the current difficult situation.
