President Jokowi Expresses Condolences Over Passing of Emmeril Kahn Mumtadz

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo offered his sincere condolences following the passing of Emmeril Kahn Mumtadz, the son of West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil.

“First of all, on behalf of myself, the nation, and the state, I would like to express my sincere condolences for the passing of Emmeril Kahn Mumtadz. Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun (Verily, to God we belong and verily, to Him we shall return). May he be given the best place by His side,” the President said in his statement at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Saturday (06/04).

As a parent, President Jokowi stated that he cannot imagine how heavy the feelings and the burdens that must be carried and faced by Ridwan Kamil and his spouse Atalia Praratya.

“However, I see the endless patience and fortitude in both of them in facing the loss. This is an example for all of us. Once again, I offer my deepest condolences,” he said.

President Jokowi also prayed that the family be given patience and heartiness. “May the family be given patience and heartiness. To God we belong and to Him we shall return,” he stated. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/UN) (FI/MMB)
