President Jokowi Expresses his Respect to Women Activists on Mother’s Day

The commemoration of Mother’s Day on Tuesday (22/12) got attention from President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.

 In his tweet on the President’s twitter account @jokowi this morning, President Jokowi said that his mother always reminds him the importance of hard work, honesty and modesty. “I always remember that. Happy Mother’s Day,” the President said.

 Meanwhile, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung through his twitter account @pramonoanung gave a little note relating the commemoration of Mother’s Day which celebrated on Tuesday (22/12).

 “Mother is my heaven, who makes me strong in living my life. I stand strong due to my mother’s prayers,” Mas Pram, nickname of Pramono Anung, tweeted.

Pramono even uploaded the picture of him with his mother who were smiling in his twitter account.

 Respect Women Activists

 President Jokowi said, Mother’s Day is celebrated with the spirit to fight discrimination against women.

 The President asserted that the problem of discrimination and women empowerment still becomes the Goverment’s concern. “I respect women activists who vigorously promoting the rights of the women,” President Jokowi said.  (ES) (RAS/MMD/YM/Naster)
