President Jokowi, First Lady Iriana Buy Batik, Paintings Produced by Blora’s SMEs

Upon arrival at Ngloram airport in Blora regency, Central Java province, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and First Lady Ibu Iriana Joko Widodo Friday (12/17) took their time to visit SMEs booths at the airport’s holding room.

On that occasion, President Jokowi bought a customized jacket with mythical eagle Garuda and typical Blora’s pattern worth Rp350,000, while First Lady Ibu Iriana bought typical Blora’s batik cloth worth Rp900,000.

Kristin, one of the sellers, was surprised when the President visited her booth and bought some products from Blora’s SMEs. “I was surprised and happy that the President is willing to stop by Blora, a small city,” she added.

After visiting batik booth, President Jokowi and First Lady Ibu Iriana visited painting booth with the painter drawing President Jokowi, First Lady Ibu Iriana, and their grandchildren. The President then bought two paintings on display at the booth. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/AIT) (AP/MUR)
