President Jokowi, First Lady Ibu Iriana Head Back to Indonesia
After a five-day visit to the United States of America (USA), President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and Ibu Iriana headed back to Indonesia on Saturday (05/14).
The Garuda Indonesia GIA-1 aircraft that carried the President and the entourage took off from Andrews Military Air base, Washington, D.C., at about 17.38 local time.
Indonesian Ambassador to USA Rosan Roeslani and wife escorted President Jokowi and Ibu Iriana to the plane stair.
President Jokowi and the entourage were planned to transit at Abu Dhabi International Airport, United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Sunday (05/15) afternoon at local time, to express condolences to the government and the people of UAE, as well as the family of the late His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan who had passed away last Friday (05/13).
