President Jokowi, First Lady Iriana Attend National Committee Gathering for G20 Summit Implementation
Before kicking off working visit to Bangkok, Thailand, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Thursday (11/17) attended the National Committee Gathering for G20 Summit Implementation, at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center, Bali province.
On that occasion, the President expressed his gratitude to all relevant parties who participated in the successful implementation of G20 Summit in Bali.
“First of all, I’d like to extend my appreciation for the hard work. The Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), the regional government, all ministries, all institutions, event supporters, all hotel crews. I found that the integration management went well on the ground,” the President said.
According to the President, all heads of state and leaders of international institutions expressed their appreciation to Indonesia since the event ran smoothly.
“The traffic, the hotels, the meetings, the summit, the dinners, the mangrove forest event, all heads of state praised Indonesia,” he said.
“The weather is also good during the event, thanks to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) and related institutions for using weather-modification technology (TMC),” he added.
In addition, the President also expressed an apology to the people of Bali for any inconvenience occurred during G20 Summit.
“I want to offer my deepest apology to the people of Bali for the crowds on the streets due to the G20 Summit. I apologize profusely for all the incidents you might experience on the road, be it the congestion or others,” the President remarked. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/AIT) (RIF/MUR)
