President Jokowi, First Lady Iriana Meet with Malaysian PM, First Lady

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo Thursday (06/08) had a meeting with Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim at Seri Perdana Complex in Putrajaya, Malaysia.

The President and the First Lady arrived at approximately 10:00 AM local time and were welcomed by PM Anwar and his spouse First Lady Wan Azizah.

During the visit, President Jokowi, First Lady Iriana, and their Malaysian counterparts took a photo together. Afterward, President Jokowi and PM Anwar had a tête-à-tête.

The two leaders then witnessed the exchange of memoranda of understanding (MoU) that have been agreed by both countries.

The series of meeting ended with a joint press statement of President Jokowi and PM Anwar.

In the meantime, First Lady Iriana joined First Lady Wan Azizah for a morning tea on Lake Putrajaya Cruise. (BPMI SETPRES/UN) (DH/LW)
