President Jokowi: Gov’t to Support Parmusi’s “Civilized Villages” Program

The Government will support “Desa Madani” (Civilized Villages) program implemented by Muslim organization Parmusi, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has said.

“I like the presentation on the civilized villages program and the Government, God willing, will support the program implemented by Parmusi,” the President said in his remarks during the opening ceremony of the 4th Conference of the Parmusi through video conference from the Bogor Presidential Palace, Saturday (26/9).

On that occasion, the President also reminded the participants to maintain practicing rituals such as zikr, istighfar and tawba as well as perform charity for those in need amidst the tough situation.

The President also extended his prayer to Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala for the containment of COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia.

“May Allah always protect us and provide safety to our people, our nation and our country. By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, in the name of Allah the most gracious and the most merciful, I officially open the 4th Congress of the Parmusi,” the President said. (FID/EN)
