President Jokowi Hands Capital Assistance to Tanjung Pasir Fishermen

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Tuesday (02/28) visited Tanjung Pasir fisherman’s village in Tarakan city, North Kalimantan province to distribute working capital assistance to the local residents.

Upon his arrival, the President received an enthusiastic greeting from the residents. He then took his time to have dialog with them. On the other hand, First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo, who accompanied the President on that occasion, handed books, vitamins, and medicines to children living in that village.

Sadika, a fisherman in Tanjung Pasir village, expressed his excitement over meeting with President Jokowi. Sadika said that he postponed his work on purpose to meet and talk with the President.

Other fisherman named Usman also talked with the President and told that the working capital assistance he received will be used to buy fuel. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/ UN) (RAS/ LW)
