President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Tuesday (27/10) handed over 22,007 land certificates at Simangaronsang Stadium in Humbang Hasundutan, North Sumatra province.

The certificates include 20,637 certificates for the Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) acceleration program, 47 certificates for places of worship, 1,236 certificates for state-owned assets and goods, and 87 certificates for land fields located in the Humbang Hasundutan food estate area.

“Today, more than 20 thousand land certificates have been distributed in North Sumatra province, including 87 certificates at the food estate in Humbang Hasundutan area,” the President said.

On that occasion, the President also also asked the recipients to keep their certificates properly.

“I am asking all of you to keep this certificate along with its copy. Should you lose the original document, you can bring the copy and get a new one at the National Land Office (BPN),” he said.

The certificate, he added, can also be used as collateral for working capital / business loan applications to banks.

“Be careful and calculate it well. Do not spend the money to buy a car or a motorbike. Use it for business capital instead,” the President added.

As part of the implementation of the health protocol, the event was attended by only a very limited number of recipients. Most of the recipients watched the event via video conference from a number of locations. (FID/UN)
