President Jokowi Hands Over Social Assistance at Toboali Market, South Bangka Regency

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Thursday (10/20) met with and distributed social assistance to the beneficiaries at Toboali Market, South Bangka regency, Bangka Belitung Islands province.

On that occasion, the President reminded the beneficiaries to use the assistance properly, especially to meet nutritional needs of children.

“Please use the assistance for essential things. For example, you can use it to support children’s nutrition. You can also use it to buy rice, eggs, and milk. Do not buy a cellphone or new clothes. Using the assistance for children’s education can be worthy too,” the President stated.

At the market, the Head of State handed over presidential working capital assistance of Rp1.2 million to street vendors and beneficiaries of the Family Hope Program (PKH).

In addition, the President also ensured that the beneficiaries had received fuel oil cash assistance from the Government.

“Have you all received the assistance? It worth Rp300 thousand, while the presidential assistance worth Rp1.2 million,” he said.

Previously, the President took off from West Bangka regency using the Indonesian Air Force’s Super Puma helicopter and landed on the helipad of Junjung Besaoh Stadium, South Bangka regency, and was welcomed by Regent of South Bangka Riza Herdavid.
