President Jokowi: Hospital Development Builds Public, Investors’ Trust to IKN
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Wednesday (11/1) kicked off the groundbreaking of Hermina Nusantara Hospital in the area of Indonesia’s new capital of Nusantara (IKN) in East Kalimantan province.
President Jokowi went on to say that the groundbreaking ceremony will build up public trust to the IKN.
“It will build public trust to live in the IKN, investors’ trust to invest and develop their business in the IKN,” he added.
The President also said that the availability of good healthcare facilities has been a main topic of discussion among people. To that end, the groundbreaking of the internationally accredited hospital is expected to address the issues.
“Now, we have the answer. The Hermina Nusantara Hospital will be constructed. Today, we carry out the groundbreaking of this eco-based internationally accredited hospital. The hospital will also be built based on green building concept that will optimize renewable energy and be supported by smart hospital digitalization,” President Jokowi said.
On that occasion, the President said that the investment allocation for the development of the hospital reached Rp650 billion.
The Head of State expressed his hope that the construction of the hospital can be completed immediately so that the people who want to live in the IKN as well as people living around the IKN will have access to excellent healthcare services, emergency services, trauma center, orthopedics, maternal and child care, perinatology, and neurology.
Furthermore, President Jokowi underlined that the hospital will not only serve VVIP patients, but also patients using Health Care and Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan) insurance or other insurances. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/DNS) (AP/RAS/LW)
