President Jokowi Hosts Kings, Sultans at Bogor Palace

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Thursday (4/1) at Bogor Presidential Palace hosted a gathering of dozens of kings and sultans from all over Indonesia.

On that occasion, the President said he would only deliver an opening remarks and invited the kings and the sultans to convey problems they are facing.

“This morning, I will not talk about anything. In fact, I want to listen to the problems faced by Your Excellency Kings, Sultans, Princes, and Empresses attending this gathering this morning. I would like to invite you to convey problems on the ground. Pak Teten (Presidential Chief of Staff) will arrange it,” the President said.

Dozens of kings and sultans attended the gathering. They are from Sumatera (20 people), Java (17 people), Bali (three orang), East Nusa Tenggara (five people), West Nusa Tenggara (four people), Kalimantan (10 people), Sulawesi (18 people), Maluku (nine people), and Papua (two people).

Also attending the event were Presidential Chief of Staff Teten Masduki, Minister of Education and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, and Minister of Tourism Arief Yahya. (GUN/OJI/ES) (EP/YM/Naster)
