President Jokowi in Bangka Belitung for Working Visit

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Thursday (14/3) began his working visit in Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitung province.

The President and his entourage arrived at Depati Amir Airport at 9:30 a.m. local time.

Upon his arrival, the President reviewed the models and information on the construction of the airport and visited Tanjung Kelayang Special Economic Zone (SEZ) as well. Afterwards, the President also inaugurated a new terminal at the airport and the SEZ.

President Jokowi is also scheduled to distribute land certificates to residents in Bangka Belitung at Sahabudin Sports Centre. In addition, he is also scheduled to distribute the Aspiring Family Program (PKH) and the Non-cash Food Aid (BPNT) to the recipients in Pangkal Pinang.

Later in the afternoon, President Jokowi and his entourage are slated to depart for North Tapanuli regency, in North Sumatra to continue his working visit in the province. (UN/RAH/ES)
