President Jokowi in Central Java for Working Visit

On the second day in Central Java province (01/03), President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo continued his working visit by attending a series of events.

The first event to attend was the groundbreaking ceremony for Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto’s Second Campus in Banyumas regency, Central Java province, Wednesday (01/03).

In his remarks, President Jokowi talked about the demographic bonus.

“In 2030in s, 2035s, we will get a demographic bonus that we hope will bring benefit to make a leap to an advanced country. The key is human resources development,” President Jokowi said, adding that the development includes skills, talents, and character building.

President Jokowi also expressed belief that with an extensive experience in education, Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto will be able to contribute to the development plan.

After the event, President Jokowi is scheduled to attend a paddy planting with farmers in Kalibogor district, Banyumas regency and carry out an inspection of rice stock at the National Logistics Agency warehouse in Klahang village.

Following the working visit in Banyumas regency, President Jokowi will proceed to Pagak village, Banjarnegara regency to inspect the development funded by the village fund.

Afterwards, President Jokowi is planned to visit a tea factory PT Tong Tji Tea Indonesia in Tegal regency, the National Logistics Agency warehouse in Munjung Agung village to check the rice stock and to hand over the government rice stock (CBP).

In Central Java province, President Jokowi is also slated to inaugurate a number of bridges located in Brebes regency, Semarang city, Demak regency, Pati regency, and Rembang regency.
