President Jokowi in East Java for Working Visit

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, accompanied by First Lady Ibu Iriana Joko Widodo, on Thursday (20/6) paid a working visit to East Java. The President and his entourage departed at 07.45 Western Indonesian Time from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base Jakarta to Juanda International Airport, Sidoarjo, East Java, using the Indonesian-1 Presidential Aircraft.

The Presidential Secretariat’s Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media Bey Machmudin said in his press release that during the working visit, President Jokowi would hand over 3,000 land certificates to East Java residents.

“The land certificates would be handed over at Tridharma Petrokimia Gresik Gymnasium, Gresik,” the press release reads.

Before attending the certificate handover ceremony, the President and the First Lady will attend the wedding ceremony of the daughter of K.H Miftachul Akhyar Abdul Ghoni, a leader of the largest Islamic organization in Indonesia Nahdlatul ‘Ulama with son of K.H. Ali Ridhom in Miftachus Sunnah Islamic Boarding School, Surabaya.

From Gresik, President Jokowi and his entourage will return to Jakarta today. Accompanying the President during the working visit were Minister of State Secretary Pratikno and Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency Sofyan Djalil. (BPMI Setpres/ES)
