President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Thursday (8/2) distributed the Smart Indonesia Card (KIP), Aspiring Family Program (PKH), and Rice for Prosperity Food Subsidy (Rastra) at Tuanku Tabiang Sport Hall, Batu Kupang, Koto Baru, Solok Regency, West Sumatra Province.

“As for PKH, I think I need to remind you to only use the money for child nutrition purposes; for instance to buy eggs, fish, or vegetables,” the President said, adding that the money should also be used for school necessities such as books, shoes, bags, and uniforms.

President Jokowi added that KIP holders for primary school students will receive Rp450,000, Rp 750,000 and Rp 1,000,000 for middle school and high school students respectively.

“We should be grateful that the Government distributes KIP so that all children can enjoy education. Once the Government has more budget, the amount of PKH and KIP will be increased. Please pray for it,” the President added.

President Jokowi also reminded that the card will be revoked if it is used for phone credit and the cards holders must use the money according to mutual agreement.

“Students, do use the money to buy school necessities, and for mothers, do use the money for your children’s education and meet child nutrition needs,” the President firmly said.
