President Jokowi Inaugurates 24 Roads Worth Rp648 Billion in W. Kalimantan
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Wednesday (03/20) inaugurated 24 road sections in West Kalimantan province as the implementation of Presidential Instruction Number 3 of 2023 on the Acceleration of Regional Roads Connectivity Improvement.
President Jokowi went on to say that the project of building a 165-kilometer road spent a budget of Rp648 billion. He expressed hope that the construction of the road infrastructure can improve mobility of the people and goods in the surrounding area.
“All damaged roads have been repaired. It is our hope that the mobility of people and goods as well as logistics mobility through these roads can be improved,” the President said in his remarks.
Furthermore, the Head of State emphasized the importance of road infrastructure development at reducing logistics costs, while underscoring that road infrastructure can also increase the competitiveness of local products.
