President Jokowi Inaugurates Andi Amran Sulaiman as Minister of Agriculture

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Wednesday (10/25) inaugurated Andi Amran Sulaiman as Minister of Agriculture at the State Palace in Jakarta.

The Inauguration is based on Presidential Decree Number 101/P of 2023 on the Appointment of Minister of Agriculture in the Onward Indonesia Cabinet for the Remaining Term of Office of 2019-2024.

After the Presidential Decree was read by the Deputy for Apparatus Administrative Affairs of Ministry of State Secretariat Nani Purwati, President Joko Widodo dictated the oath of office to Amran.

“I do solemnly swear that I will bear allegiance to the 1945 Constitution and execute all laws and regulations in the fairest way possible for the service to the state and the nation, that in carrying out my duties, I will uphold professional code of conduct, work to the best of my ability with a full sense of responsibility,” Amran said, repeating after the President.

Amran Sulaiman was inaugurated as Minister of Agriculture, replacing Syahrul Yasin Limpo who resigned at the beginning of the month. Previously, Amran had also served as Minister of Agriculture in the Working Cabinet under President Jokowi’s first term from 2014 to 2019.

Also attending the inauguration were the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Chief of the Indonesian National Police General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Commander of the Indonesian National Defense Forces Admiral Yudo Margono. (DND/UN)(RKW/DH)
