President Jokowi Inaugurates Astra Biz Center and Nusantara Botanical Garden

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Tuesday (06/04) led the groundbreaking ceremony of Astra Biz Center and Nusantara Botanical Garden to be built in Nusantara Capital (IKN), Penajam Paser Utara Regency, East Kalimantan.

“Investing in Nusantara Capital is about pursuing the future. You shouldn’t think of only the current situation, as the toll road from Balikpapan to IKN hasn’t been completed. So you have to make a detour to go to IKN,” the President said.

The Head of State mentioned that once the Balikpapan-IKN toll road is completed, it will take only 30-40 minutes to travel from Balikpapan to Nusantara Capital. In addition to the toll road access, a commercial airport will also be available with only 15 minutes away from IKN.

“I am delighted with and I appreciate the commitment of PT Astra International that has supported IKN by building Astra Biz Center, a service complex integrating one-stop service on 3.4 hectares of land that will serve 11 companies of Astra Group,” the President added.

President Jokowi also extended his appreciation for the construction of Nusantara Botanical Garden by the Nusantara Consortium. He appreciates the project as it is designed not for profit, but for a social purpose.

“The Botanical Garden will support Nusantara as a green city, a smart city, a livable city, and a lovable city,” he concluded.
