President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Friday (22/3) inaugurated the newly revamped Badung Market in Denpasar City, Bali, which was caught on fire several years ago.

President Jokowi expressed that he is happy and satisfied to see the ‘new’ market and even called it a market with ‘the best architecture’ in the country.

“It is very clean,” the President said. He then urged the market management, as well as the market sellers, to maintain its cleanliness and sanitation.

Furthermore, he also told them to wear proper and clean outfits and always smile to the customers.

“We need to change the culture so that traditional markets can compete with modern markets and malls,” the President added. (RSF/OJI/ES)
